Default its cool to run the elet fan if it would come!!

im not having over heating problem but i never hear my elet fan come on. i can only get it to come on with the a/c on. this is a 97xj 5 speed. but my 01 xj auto with a/c comes on with or with out the a/c on. should i not hear it come on? im running a 190 stat with reg 50/50 in the rad.

as far as I know, it only comes on when the temp hits a certain point, or if the AC is on. Every once in a while when I come to a stop and idle a while it'll turn on, and usually my temp is about 220 or 230 when it turns on.

'99 down, efan on when a/c comp engages and/or coolant temp reaches 218F, as stated. '00 up, efan is coolant temp sensitive.

make sure the coolant temp sensor is reading correctly to the ecu... mine went bad and i had the same problem....i replaced the sensor and havent had a problem since
