Default issues after t case swap

I swapped out transfer cases and now IM having some issues. I drive it home and it drove fine other than the speedo not working. Two days later I go to drive it and it won't shift out of 1st, it's idling high, and the exhaust stinks kinda like rotten eggs. I kinda figured the speed sensor don't have anything to do with the shifting or exhaust or idle. Maybe the tps for the shifting issue? It's only a couple years old but I have hood vents with no drop pans. But what about the high idle and exhaust fumes?

It just threw a code. Don't have a scanner on me. Might get one a little later.

That sensor on the t case can be turned 4 possible ways. Thats likely your issue. As for the engine light you will have a code for speed sensor for sure. Now let me say this about your exhaust. You have 2 pre cats most likely because you have a 2000 xj. Then there is one main cat after the front pipe. If you get a code for "catalyst efficiency below threshold" something is up with the cats.

Ok glad you figured out the speedo. Yea man i would check the cats for sure. If you can hear chunks rattling around something is wrong. Also what t case did you take out and what did you replace it with? How was the jeep shifting before the t case swap?

X2 on o2 sensors. You should have 4 because of CA emissions and precats

I'm kinda curios if the lower O2's were messed with. Wish this guy would post back.
