Is this an issue?? (pic)
So many of you know and have helped me try to diagnose my vibes after the 3" lift my XJ just underwent. I will be getting an alignment and probably a 1" TCD for good measure, but I saw this shiny spot on the front axle drive shaft and thought I would consult the "gurus". Is this bad or "nature of the beast" when lifting?

That's the normal extension of the shaft at the slip-yoke from the lift you installed. It needed to be a little longer. Clean that grease fitting and shoot some grease in that slip yoke.

Do the TC drop, for now. Plan on a SYE and drive shaft, if vibe not fixed. Otherwise yeah that shiny spot is normal, lube the slip joint well and cross the fingers.

Thank you both for the insight! I need to find my grease gun! I also need to do a search for a decent TCD kit. Thanks Guys!!
