Handle broke on the old one. Installed new one. It works until I install the handle and mount to the interior wall. Then the handle wont pull out at all. If I uninstall the mount from the wall and straighten out the cable it works fine.

I have tried adjusting the amount of cable inside the cabin. I have it installed just like the old one using plastic clips attached to the hood.

Any ideas?

Yes I did. I replace both of the corner hood latches and now it works fine.
