I have an intermitten high idle that happens more and more often. It used to be about once or twice a week when I started the jeep it would run at a high idle 2000 RPMs and would eventually work its way down to 900. More recently its happening more often and does not workitself back down to a normal idle and its high idle is about 2500 rpm. The weird thing though is if I shut the jeep off and restart it it will go back to normal idle or even a low idle. Just seems weird that restarting it would make a difference. Any help on what to check?
