Default Interior Rattle Trap

Does anyone else's XJ have a million damn rattles and squeaks going on inside?
All my interior is in,except carpet . Which I would like to have, but isnt pratical for my type of wheeling. All fasteners are tight and present. And when i fix one rattle another comes out LOL.
Its the older body style if that matters. Guess its really just all that plastic paneling. If you hit a washboard road it sounds like a cheap car with a huge sound system vibrating apart

Considering that most everything in our XJ's are made of plastic they will make a lot of rattling. All of my JX's always had the plastic rattle.

It's normal. Just get used to always having music playing at all times.

Im thinking about a small bead of silicone applied to the mating surface of my dash top panel where the cluster surround sits. Apply bead let it dry completely and then put dash together. I have used star bucks coffee sleaves between the A pillar plastic and the metal before it worked to kill the rattle. I have to pull headliner to replace it I will get serious about the plastic rattle then.

I try when i can. And OP remember this, most lifted jeeps ride rough compared to camrys.. so the rougher your suspension is the more you'll hear the rattles. Just something to think about.
