Well, since all my jeep mechanical problems have straightened out, I figured it was time to make the inside look good. Anyone know the best place to get jeep carpet/headliner molds? I have the stock grey but I would switch to black if necessary. My carpet get especially dirty by the owner before me, so I just want to go ahead and cut it all out

 

If the backer panel for the headliner is not broken you can simply re cover it with the fabric of your choice. As for the carpet I have not had much luck finding replacements. A car I had years ago had rather nasty carpet and I had good luck by simply removing it and laying it in the driveway then power washing the hell out of it after letting it soak with some good carptet cleaner on it.

 

Best deals I have seen are in the classified sections of the various Jeep sections, look for someone parting one out. The carpet can ship easily enought, the headliner would probably have to be picked up locally.

 

Fabric stores will have a headliner that will match close enough you wont be able to tell. As for the carpet my uncle did something very cool in is minivan(4 kids) he put rubbery clear plastic down, its like heavy duty floor mat material. It works great and if some one spills a drink or ice cream or whatever just wipe wet wipe and its like brand new. I think it cost about 80 bucks but his is a big minivan. Ill ask where he got it.

 

Google "auto interior" or "automotive carpet" and you may be suprised what will pop up, places that sell carpet and headliner material for all sorts of vehicles.
