I just picked up a 98 XJ. I need to pass emissions, thing is guy before me ripped the Vapor canister off. My brother has a canister off a 89 XJ and I was wondering if I could use it? His mounts under the hood, as mine is under the body. Last thing is why do people remove these? My dad has a 89, my brother has a 89 and neither have the cans hooked up, they are there but not hooked up.

Alright thanks, just don't understand I guess. It's a can (per say) with charcoal that absorbs fuel vapors.....seems like any would work as long as it sealed my evap system.
