Interchangable Alternators
Want a higher amp alternator. Are there any from other vehicles that bolt up and are Higher Output?
Saw something on 160 amp derict swat but can't remember type. In know about the 136amp from ZJ v8. Are there others?

Good link, ahve that also. But the 136amp Grand swap can't be the only one out there. I found a thread somewhere about swaps to 160amp, cant remember site, or vehicles.

I've covered possible donors for the 136A and 160A on several sites, a few times. My moniker is the same on all sites I frequent - start searching here, then check JeepForum and NAXJA.

I think the 160amp alt. needed clearancing on one of the moutning brackets (I think, dnt hold me to it), but other than that was a direct swap. I believe the 160's came on the durango, caravan, liberty, just to name a few. I'll see if I can find the link I had on modding the bracket to fit the jeep 4.0
