Exclamation Instrument/ gauge lights went out help

My instrument lights went out the fuse was bunt out but I changed it and that one blew I just blew 10 fuses trying to get it working cant figure it out please help all out of ideas its a 1990 cherokee laredo

short to ground in wiring add ant thing to xj lately

mine will do the same thing if i shift it down to the 1-2 position.. no idea why..

turn the **** the other way check ALL the grounds ie, radio, amp if you have one, and all wires you may have came in contact with when putting the radio in....mostly just guess and check

i also have a 5speed i had alot nof prob with my fuse box because of the clutch slave cyl leaking doen on to fuse box in side is that aera above fuse box wet or damp it ate my fuse box up ????

Did you use a stereo wiring install kit, the one that plugs into the factory harness and then you spice the wires off the plug into the wires coming off the back of the deck? Or did you splice into wires under the dash? Also, did you install any amps? And if so did you run and independent power wire for them directaly to your battery or did you spilce into the origonal wiring harness?

i spliced into the wires under the dash and my amp runs to my battery and no its not wet or damp
