1998 Jeep Cherokee 4.0 aw4 Transmission. I get the P0700's with P0463. My NSS is working fine and no issues with fuel pump. Even though my "overdrive" kicks out but turning off the engine then back on fixes that. I pulled all the fuses one by one and found the fuse that was the issue. Fuse number 16 located in the engine bay. which controls Dome Lamp, Cargo Lamp, Instrument Cluster, Courtesy Lamp, Radio, Transmission Control Module, Underhood Lamp, Visor/Vanity Lamp, Overhead Console, Remote Keyless Entry Module, Glove Box Lamp, Compass, Left Front Power Lock/Window Switch (1997 LHD), Right Front Power Lock/Window Switch (1997 LHD). From researching, the instrument cluster is common. When I go off roading my gauge cluster will stop working and work again when I push on the cluster while driving. My gas gauge will take awhile to move after refueling. My question is am I heading in the right direction? Would my gauge cluster give me my P0463 (Fuel Level Sensor A Circuit High Imput) code? I included some pictures of my gauge cluster connector. No burnt marks and all contacts are clean. I heard the "data buss," wire colors should be a twisted pair. Which mine aren't. Or Do I have 2 separate issues? I will be checking the wiring harness under the Jeep. Trying to avoid taking the gas tank out.

Update....Twisted wires for cluster and cleaned all pins. Instrument cluster works fine for now but we shall see. No shorts since fuse 16 engine bay is IOD. Ordering new fuel pump this Friday and will replace. Still trying to figure out why I shift out of "overdrive" while driving but I pull over to turn off the engine and restart again. Fixes the issue and doesn't happen all the time. Throws a code for the NSS but it's brand new. Reverse lights and blinkers are working perfectly. Transmission solenoids aren't throwing codes but might replace them just to be sure. All grounds are clean so still scratching my head on that.
