I have a '99 Cherokee sport 4.0 and installed a new oil pump. I removed the distributor to prime the pump and forgot to mark it. I set the engine to TDC and indexed the distributor and dropped it in. I noticed it feels like its struggling and being held back while driving especially on the highway. The check engine light came on yesterday on the freeway and it started missing and losing power. It actually stalled. I pulled off checked under the hood and didn't see anything noticeable. After about 5 minutes it fired up and no longer sputtered. The engine light stayed off but it still feels like a rough idle. I also installed a new crank position sensor.
Any thoughts? I would appreciate it.

The problem with pulling codes is the obd connector is dead. My scanner won't powerup when plugged in . The key cycle method to get the codes to flash also doesn't work. I'm at a total loss.
