Info needed on lift kit!
gettin ready to install 5.5" Y-link lift from tntcustoms reason being is they offer a system that pretty much builds a complete frame under unibody when you install stiffners & sliders connects front subframe to rear rails with belly pan in between. has anyone heard good/bad things about their products? goal is to put 4BT 3.9l diesel in my 98' xj you think kit will be strong enough with dana 44's in front & rear teraflex sye & custom cut drive shafts? also what's a good gear size for rig that's goin to be a streeter & wheeler 4:10's?

I looked at that lift and the one thing I don't like is the fact you have your cross member and your front link mount point as the same piece........when you service your trans/transfer case you'd have to support the axle and the body instead of just letting it hang like you would with a different system.....and if you break one you'd be breakin the other and might put your truck totally out.........otherwise it looks like a nice system but for the price it can be done much better

If your lookin to make it stronger to hold up to a motor any of those lifts will just strengthen around the trans/transfer case area...........your gonna still need to put some work into the front by the steering box and around the motor mounts.......if it's that much of a difference in power..........most of the xj body is essentially part of the uni-body

He was looking for heavier front coils. I PMed him with the name of a spring company, but I think that Skyjacker makes some coils that would serve his purposes in their lift kits. I have some right now that are pretty stiff.

IMO .. that wouldn't be heavy enough.
The inline six is almost as heavy as the Chrysler V8. In fact, the 4.0 is heavier than a Chevy 350.
Might want to look at EB or F150 coils if you're planning on a 4BT and HD trans to go with.

Jesus that's gotta be a heavy motor! If that's the case I think it's overkill......even more than overkill but hey to each his own. Would love to see the finished truck though
