Importance of coil spring retainer?

Importance of coil spring retainer?

After installing the D30 up front the coil spring retainer bolt hole was stripped out. I know I could probably re-thread the hole or even weld the retainer on but how important are they until I can get around to taking care of it?

if you dont mind the coils falling out when you flex then they arent important at all lol

Don't weld the retainer on, then you'll never be able to get the coils out...easily anyways

I drilled mine out and put 3/8 hardware in.

95% of the Jeeps I lift don't have them. And I lift a lot of Jeeps.

Thanks guys. Didn't think it would be a huge deal but didn't want to risk it. I guess it can wait til the weekend. I'm not going to be flexing on the highway.
