Were you in the back hatch trim lately? Has wiring harnesses present for lic. Plate lights for spare tire carrier and no spare tire carrier, both wiring installed at facotry, and if you plug the both in dash lights pop fuse every time

if you put the trim back on,you might have put a screw thru a wire to the body. have you messed with the radio lately? like take it out and new one in? wires touching behind there will do the same thing, grounding out. that was my problem with dash lights and taillights being out.

no i havent touched the radio at all but something that does happen is sometimes i open the door while the car is running and the radio and ac will shut off for about 3 seconds. Also all my wires are wrapped and i still cant find a wire that is messed up. Could anythin else effect this?

def. sounds like a short to me. If it pops your brake lights' fuse then you probably moved some wiring around when you had the back trim off. I know in my 96 it has all the wiring for the rear lights, the rear speakers, trailer harness and the wires for the lights in the liftgate in the driver-side behind the trim. I'd guess you either pinched a wire or moved it to where it is now shorted somehow while you were messing with the trim. If you can't find any bare wire or places a short coulda occurred then the only way I can think to find it is either get a circuit tester and start testing wires or put a new fuse in with one component unplugged and keep changing what you have unplugged & replacing fuses until the fuse doesn't burn, then you've found the item with the short... I'd make sure to take all the trim back off and check all the wires really good before going that route though!

gotta be a loose wire or one grounding out somewhere, you'll have to look at everything you messed with to see whats going on. i just about tore everything apart on mine to figure out whats wrong and found out it was to cut bare wires behind the radio. my radio was changed twice, the first time from bestbuy screwed it up.

use a bulp and 2 wires instead of the fues. then start disconnect the wires for the lights, when the bulp goes out, you have found the issue.. it saves fuses

Hey OP I've got the exact same problem. Mine either pops the 10A fuse or the 15A. When it blows I lose all interior lights and taillights. I still have brake lights, however no taillights. So I remedied it with replacing both the 10A, and the 15A and it blew immediately. So, getting frustrated i just stuck a 20A in the 10A slot and a 25A in the 15 slot, neither have blown and I haven't seen anything burning yet and I did this about 3 months ago.

Also forgot to mention. I believe my light switch is causing it because it makes a nasty grinding noise sometimes when I turn it on. But, nonetheless try the fuse solution.
