Default Im no mechanic hope you are

Hey guys im new to the fourm i just bought a 87 jeep cherokee with the 4.0 inline 6 in it. It runs pretty good. The problem im having is when i turn the key i have to turn it and hold down on it for about 5-9 seconds before it will start. If its 33 degrees or higher outside it will crank. if its below 33 it will take 5 to 10 min to start. Also when it finally starts it will idle really high then drop down low and it will stall out on occasions. Also it will hesitate when i give it gas sometimes. I have read on this site that maybe the idle air controller has gone out making it idle the way it does and also ive been told that the coolant temp sensor could be the reason why it wont start when its cold outside any help will greatly be appreciated thanks in advance

Is this 33c or 33f? Either way you have a problem, but if its at 33c then that is a major problem
Could be many things, maybe run some fuel injector cleaner, sometimes fuel doesn't like to mist/vaporize when its cold.

remove and clean your idle air control (IAC) stepper motor. i'd start there.
