Ignition Cylinder not seating all the way
So my cylinder broke so removed the switch and bought brand new cylinder and switch. I have tried for a few hours now to get the cylinder to seat properly but no luck. Didn't know if there were any tricks to doing it? I am pressing down pretty hard but doesn't help.
Below is what I am currently doing:
Have the switch clocked at 3.
Insert cylinder (only one way it would go in)
Then insert the key and turning clockwise (this is my issue, it doesn't turn, like at all).
Thanks for any help. It went down this morning and been trying to fix it all day.

I can align the switch on the column but same issue, the key will not turn. I should be able to test it outside of the vehicle since I can turn the lock flag by hand, the key should do it as well. This is the video I found for the replacement. I'm at the 2:30 mark just inserting the cylinder lock into the switch but when I go to insert the key and turn it to the on position, it will not turn. Th dowel pin cavity on the cylinder lock is aligned with the hole in the switch.

Disregard, figured out the issue. I had boughten two different lock cylinders from two different stores and neither of the keys were the correct ones for it. I bought a third and it worked right away, just need to return the other two now.
