2001 XJ that was running absolutely fine yesterday. I must have left a cabin light on overnight because the battery was dead this morning. Hooked it up to my dad's truck and it was taking much longer than usual, even after him putting down significant RPMs. After 10 minutes my battery was fine but the starter was just not engaging the engine. So while turning the key I floored the gas pedal and the engine started. But, as soon as I took my foot off the gas it stalled out within a second.

Wasn't sure what was going on so I started it again and just held the accelerator at like 1750 rpms for a few minutes. This time when I released the pedal it stabilized at a very rough 500 rpms. I'm sure you all know the engine typically idles at 1k or so.

I've been driving the jeep all day and after multiple starts the problem continues to persist. Like I said, it ran fine yesterday. I'm guessing jump starting it might have caused this but I'm not sure where to look. Thanks.
