My 89 has been dieing at an idle since yesterday. Can someone help me diagnose what the problem is?

It's part of your Throttle Body where the big hose comes from your air cleaner into your intake manifold. You'll need some cleaner, plenty of posts and youtube videos on it.

Sorry about that. Idle air control valve. Sometimes a good cleaning can solve your idle issue. Do that before you spend any $ on parts.
