Hi guys. In need of some help. I have a '95 XJ 4.0 4wd automatic and have been having irratic idle issues and hesitaion off idle. I hadn't driven it about a month or so until yesterday and it ran great. Today it has the idle and hesitation issues and the trans will not shift until higher RPM levels. Anyone had these issues? any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like your throttle position sensor, also throw some carb cleaner at the air intake, that helps if it's all gunky

With the throttle pos. sensor, just replace, not expensive, it's electronic so sometimes they just burn out and die... R.I.P. T.P.S.
