Default Idle Air Control unit

I replaced my IA control unit on the TB because it would rev to 1800 rpm's at start up. When I cold start, it only rev's to 1100 but after it's warmed up it rev's high when I restart. Any suggestions?

I've tried to trace a vacuum leak but why would it only do it at start up. Idles fine once it settles down from the high start up.

Make sure ALL the bolts on your intake are TIGHT...I heard of that fixing it for someone.

TPS as well, maybe? Try changing that.

Or start trying to chase down vacuum leaks, again...

Thanks for the tips! I just did install a new exhaust header... I'll retighten all the bolts. Does the TPS behave like that when it's going bad?

Someone told me that the TPS and IAC both HATE getting wet...so if you got them wet....could be why...?

Its always good to recheck the bolts after doing exhaust work, but it sounds more like IAC beings it comes back to normal. You might try wiggling the IAC connector and have someone start it up.
