Anybody know if a 93 cherokee sport has an idle air control motor or valve or what ever it is??? pics or diagrams would be helpful...can't find it in the Haynes...wouldn't be called an air pump would it????. jeep died idling at a light today, started right back up though, doesn't have a problem taking off in the morning when cold.....

so where is this thing located? I've heard they can be cleaned up.

 

its on the throttle body not sure where on a 93, on my 90 if your looking strait at the throttle body from the front of my jeep its the left sensor

 

yeah on my 99 it is on the left of the throttle body too. Held on by two torx screws. Easy way to tell is take of your intake hose and whichever side of the throttle body has a hole in the side of it, that's where the idle air control motor is.
