Ive looked in a few threads about IAT relocation but all of them that ive seen have the stock airbox. My question is, is there a way to relocate the sensor and put it somewhere else in my intake? I have a rusty's intake tube with a spectre cone filter on it, could I drill a hole into the metal intake tube and mount it there? Or possibly even in the stock intake hose above the throttle body? Would this effect the way the sensor reads the air temp or not? Has anyone else done this without a stock airbox? Any help and info is appreciated

Right behind the filter would be the best place.
Make sure you de-burr the hole after drilling.
NOTE: IAT Relocation is strictly a WARM WEATHER MOD.
Relocating the IAT in cold weather will cause rough idle/poor performance/ poor MPG.
The BEST mod is to have TWO IATs. Using OEM location during cold temps and the relocated one for warm weather.
I have found this out after running mine for 6months after my original write-up.
