if you buy a welder, make sure it has a gas hook up... once you weld with gas, you will never go back...

Yes you are right, I have welded with gas and its a breeze and so pretty with minimal clogging. Then I did without gas and splat splat messy and kinda ugly If I got one I would go with gas if I could.

Where are you located? I would like someone to do it but that is the only pic I have of it. A member was trying to get ahold of the guy that owned that XJ for me but nothing so far. I wish I just had the stuff to work with and I could do it. I just dont have the funds to get what I need.

Clogging? WTH is that?

Did you reverse the polarity when you switched between gas vs. flux core?
