Its been a while since ive been on here. The jeep was sitting for about 3 months due to a electrical problem. Anyways the 4.0 is screaming again and I want to make some custom parts. I had in mind the pvc snorkel , some rock sliders (also used for running boards i guess) a roof rack that is strong and supportive with steel mesh sheeting on the bottom and at least 6" high with a bar for off road lighting.


last but not least, I plan on building a front bumper. I want to basically copy the design of the arb one with a winch bay & tow hooks and light bar as well. Also i want to make a rear one.

Ive been looking on how to do all of this and havent really found a good write up. Does anyone have some good suggestions/ instructions?

 

For the bumper i have heard using cardboard is a great way to get a design/deminisions for your metal.

Wow thanks for the links Dukie564, I think i will be able to work with the roof rack. I will have t o design one for an xj. As for the rock sliders, those look like strong guards on the rocker pannels but i will probably add some support bars to come out finish it off with a nice coat of epoxy paint and some hurculiner left over from my cab job.
