since Im gutting the interior to repair the floors...I want some better seats. The XJ seats suck.

so what are some simple swaps I can do to upgrade the seats. Manual adjust no power to worry about.

Grand Cherokee leather seats are a nice upgrade look in the writeup section or do a search if you want to know what is involved in the swap. Those are the only seats I have heard of swapping in with little modification. Or there are always aftermarket seats such as the ones made by Corbeau.

 

ZJ seats are nice and comfy. I did the swap on mine for cloth, no power seats from a 98 GC and love them. Figured I'd do fronts and rear. The rear is more work, but nothing bad. Check the link in my signature for the write up.

 

I am only replacing the fronts....and dont want racing seats

what are other bolt in front seat swaps besides the ZJ

 

WJ's? Thats about the only other seat upgrade I have heard of that bolts right in. The Honda/Acura seats are apparently easy to swap in, but I haven't seen much info about them. Rugged Ridge makes these direct bolt in seats for a decent price.



I plan to do some sort of seat upgrade eventually so I'd be interested in hearing if anyone had done something that doesn't take too much fab work.

 

those RR are over $300...no thanks. LOL

I just read on NAXJA that 94-04 Mustang seats will swap right in.

anyone done this or anything?
