i really want
leather/vinyl windows in rear of my XJ
I think it would be really cool to remove my 3 rear windows (2 door) and have like button on vinyl windows with black vinyl and some sort of clear plastic of course lol
has this ever been done?? Would it even be street legal???

Check out a local marine upholstery shop near you. The style your talking about is used on boats a lot. (removable clear plastic w/ button snaps) Then I would probably look at a XJ, with out the glass in it. (maybe a JY, or something) To see if there is enough room to mount the snaps, in the recessed portion of the window frame. It would look a lot better if they where to sit some what flush, with the body. It's a good idea, but not much of a theft deterant!................................JMO!
