Question I need some help!

Hi. I have a 93 Cherokee 4.0 2WD automatic. My daughter is taking it to school in a week. I have been getting it road ready for her this summer. I have it just about ready to go and now the wipers don't work. You can move the arms with no resistence, like they are not connected. What do I do now? I hope it's something I can do myself but i don't see how I gain access to the works for the wipers! Any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks -jim

By the bottom of the wipers, take out the screws near the windshield, check the gears and see if motors are spinning

The piece that the wiper arm shafts come through is removable by taking out a bunch of phillips head screws.

There are plastic bushings on the wiper linkage that like to wear out and break. Most likely it has popped out of the bushing and is no longer connected to the motor.

You can get replacement bushings in the HELP! products section at your local parts store. I dont remember the part #off the top of my head tho.....

Ended up fabricating a wire clip to hold arm to little ball socket on motor. Couldn't find a bushing. It should hold for a while I hope. Thanks for the help!
