i need help with alterrnator

my alternator went out on my 88 xj and i have a chevy alternator and they look the same so do u think that it well work

if it bolts in place and has the right connections it will work

1987-1990 is a Delco CS - as long as the frame size, mounting ears, and regulator connection are all the same, you're good.
