haha that sucks but you said the steering locks up????? or does it just get stiff cuz if the steering locks up while your driving when it stalls you have some other problems as well. It could be the Crankshaft sensor, but then agian, i dont know your sit. You shoudl check to see if you have spark when its stalled and cranking over. Check to see if you have fuel pressure as well but, it sounds liek an elctrical problem, liek a sensor.
You can chek your fuel pressure on your fuel rail there is a lil shrader valve. It could aslo be anything in your primary ignition system as well. Good luck

the fuel pressure regulator will be attached to the fuel rail generally on the return side going back the tank. the pressure test port looks like a tire valve on the rail. you should be able to barrow or rent the test guage from a parts store.
hmmm, you say it brings up the code x2? i dont know what that means, , is it worth checking the fuel pump relay isnt shot??? and does anybody else think cps?? as my friends did exactly what you describe until he replaced it, but that thre no codes up???
might be talking rubbish, but its worth a look??

Steering is not locking up it sounds like when the car dies the power steering stops too, and so this could seem like it is locking up.
if you put it in neutral, or wiggle the shifter, will it start then? Check to see if this does any good. My 91 does this. Has never shut off, but sometimes won't start, so, I have to wiggle the shifter? just a thought? I don't know how to fix that though, I'm gonna post a thread on that right now.

okay... changed the battery because it wasnt cranking enough amps, checked the pressure on the shrader valve in the engine for the fuel injection. there is enough pressure there. i dont have money for a 40 dollar pressure gauge but it just died on me again last night

Fuel pressure guage that you get at most parts stores has a hose with it. The hose fitting is the same as an A/C fitting.
I would wait until you have the results of the test before emptying the tank and dropping it.
The fuel pressure regulator is attached to the front side of the fuel rail. It is cylindrical and has a vacuum line going into one end.

well i went to autozone to see if any codes came up and there were none sadly... but when i changed the battery it started right up and ran perfect from about 2pm till 6pm when it just died at a stop sign and i had to push it in a lot. and i shifted from neutral to park and jiggled it and no dice. autozone doesnt rent those pressure gauges but they are around 40 bux. but when i pushed the shrader valve the gas sprayed right out and didnt drizzle at all. and the steering doesnt "lock up" it just gets very stiff like it does when u push any dead vehicle.
