Drop driveshaft, removed old seal (you can get a seal puller, but I've always used
a screwdriver) Lube the new seal and drive evenly back in place. I've seen some
put a thin film of sealer on the outside edge.
If you have the rear of the vehicle lifted a little, you shouldn't get much leakage
while you're working on it.
Mark the driveshaft so it can be installed back in the same position and be careful,
when you remove the rear u-joint, not to let the bearing caps fall off. I always wrap
them with tape to hold in place.
