Default i cant figure out whats wrong!

ok so when ive been driving my car just dies while im idling (which happens to be in the middle of busy streets). got it pushed off to the side try to start it nothing...after a few minutes it starts up...when a couple place came out and my car wont start, same thing after a few min it starts to work (thought it was over heating so i replaced the thermostat.

next day driving down the highways car starts to stall give it some gas and it was fine, then when i was getting off the exit ramp did it again but this time died but had enough speed to get it off the busy road, would start again so finally i have someone come get me and we get my car over to my work and we thought it might be the fuel pump so we replaced that, the strainer and the fuel filter. drove it home taking back roads incase anything were to happen, make it half way home sitting at the red light it dies again, boyfriend pushes it into parking lot and it starts right back up and havent drove it since then...

what is wrong??? fuel pressure regulator, sensors, computer module, relays??

i need my jeep back

I would try the CPS. Crank position sensor. Mine did the same thing til I swapped it. If you don't know where it is It's on the back of the engine top left corner of trans housing. 2 bolts use a long ext. to get to it easy.

How long has it been since you changed the fuel filter?

Could also be the battery is marginal. You can have it load tested for free at a larger auto parts store. I had the same issue because it was unable to maintain a charge and would keep trying to stall when it wasn't getting throttle. Sometimes it would start, but others it did not have enough power to turn the engine over. Worth a shot if you have another battery to swap in, or can drive with both feet to have it tested.
