Default hydro locked then running again

I went wheeling awhile back in my red 95.

Was splashing through puddles when we found this deep one.Water blew the air filter cover up and the motor ingested enough to seize.
Towed it home, pulled the plugs and turned it over by hand.A lot of water came out.Changed the oil and new plugs and she fired up.Ran like crap a few days then right back to normal, almost.
Cold starting in the morning I have to hold the gas pedal down a little and have to hold the rpm's up for a minute or so.It will idle then but it surges.Come back out to go to work and it's all smoothed out.No engine light, only does it cold start and my gas mileage has gradually been getting worse.
I'm thinking tps,I've read and read on here and naxja and that's about all I can find.Anyone else have any idea's?something else I might need to check? Thanks

I don't think there is anything wrong internally,it runs too good after it warms up.I'm only having a problem when I start it first thing in the morning. The gas mileage also.I was outside earlier and my exhaust rattle I thought was the tailpipe hitting the hitch has turned out to be my catalytic converter.Should of mentioned the rattling earlier in my post, didn't think anything of it at the time.I was under the jeep trying to duplicate the sound when I hit my cat and it sounded like marbles inside.I hoping it might be my problem.

Similar problem like this with my buddy's Blazer regarding the cat. Ran like **** and had no power until we figured out the cat was beat. We took it off, hollowed it out, and it ran great. Cats are extremely hot and when your engine sucked in water and shot it out the exhaust it probably cracked the cat into a billion pieces, hence the marble sound. I recommend taking it off and putting a new one on from the junkyard as long as the junkyard one isn't cracked. I'd recommend just hollowing the cat, but that's illegal

Took exhaust off another jeep and installed it.Started right up.Seems to run better too. We'll see in the morning.
I've cleaned and greased every connector and ground on the jeep when I first got it and did the initial tune up/tinker.
When I cut the old cat off the inside was intact but it moved around.I couldn't see any light through it at all.
