Default Few questions about replacing radiator

Hey Guys. First off I want to let you all know how helpful this forum has been to me these past few months. I have picked up a lot of tips from searching this forum about issues my XJ has had and found some pretty great fixes.
For the last month I have had several different overheating issues that has resulted in me having to flush my cooling system, then replace my thermostat, water pump, hoses, and now my radiator due to a leak that popped up this week. I had no issues getting the old one out and the new one in for the most part. Now that i am ready to get everything buttoned up I have a few issues that i can not find anything to answer my questions.

First off, the new radiator (OEM replacement from NAPA) has six pegs sticking out of the top. I'm assuming that they are to be cut off so i can put the top support back on, however now there is no top screw that the old one had to screw the radiator into the support. two of these threaded pegs are almost in the same spot, but from what I can tell they are a little off. Also, the old radiator had two tabs that were on the top of it that would attatch the tranny cooler to the radiator to keep it from moving around. The new one does not have these tabs. How am i to attatch the tranny cooler now? Is there something I can buy to fasten this?See the pics below: The blue circle is the peg i think comes close to the origional screw. The red circle in the second pic is the tab from the old radiator, and the third pic shows the top of the tranny cooler that would attach to the tab.

Ok, now my last question... The new radiator and my fan shroud do not seem to match up. The bottom of the new one has a few diffrent size holes for the tabs on the bottom of the fan shroud to go into but the space between the plate the holes are cut is too small for the bottom curved part of the shroud to fit between so when i line it up the tabs will not fit into the holes. I tried to take a pic but it is not the easiest thing to see. Any ideas on how to fix this?

There should be some rubber mounts on the stock radiator held on by 2 nuts. They should use 2 of those studs to bolt the rubber piece (with the stud attached to it) to the new radiator. The stud on the rubber piece will then be bolted to the top bar. As far as the tabs go, the radiator should have come with some L shaped brackets and bolt to the radiator to form the tabs for the cooler.

I am not real sure about your last question. I had to deal with one of these and decided to get it from Autozone instead. Theirs was identical to the stock one and made it a bit easier.

Good call on the brackets and peices from the old radiator. I don't know what i was thinking.

Anyone else have any ideas for the NAPA radiator and stock shroud?

Actually yes. I broke out the Dremel and trimmed a little bit from the bracket that the bottom of the shroud popped into. There were two sets of holes on each side and only the outer two were needed. It would have been easier to do before i installed it but it worked out. The metal it was made out of was not too tough to trim through.

Thanks for your help, my XJ is running like a champ again!
