Well i just took my jeep on its longest journey yet. I went from SC to OH which was about 640 miles. Well about halfway thru the journey i noticed a hum/clicking noise in the transfer case. its like a constant clicking him i reckon you could say. But is this bad? should i be worried??

I had the same problem, then it started slipping out so I replaced it. After the $1000 bill to replace it, the repair guy told me it was just low on oil. So if you need a new transfer case I have a perfectly fine one that just need oil. Good luck.

 

been thru some deep water lately?? mine does that after some deep-ish water travel... the breather tube on mine keeps falling down and the t-case gets water in it... and the next day it makes a slight hum.. but a drain/fill always fixes it
