I am hearing a howling noise when I let off the throttle of my 2001 XJ. I'm not sure if it's coming from the front, back, T-case or driveshafts. I thought I'd ask around before I crawl under it. Anyone had this problem. No noise until I let off the throttle.

 

Is your Jeep lifted? Do you get any vibrations? Howling like bearings going out, or more low pitched, vvvvvvvvv sound?

 

Small lift. 2" Spacers up front, Shackles in back. It's been lifted for about 2 years now. I'd say it's a low pitched sound.
