Default How to unplug the fuel pump module

I suppose this should be obvious, but I can't get it done. I'm removing the fuel tank to replace the fuel pump. I need to disconnect the electrical plug at the top of the fuel pump module. I slid the red tab all the way over, and it pulled out of the plug. I asssue the two parts of the plug should pull apart, but I absolutely cannot get them apart. Most of the plug is black, and there is a gray part over one end. Do I just have to remove that gray part? Otherwise, where do the two parts of the plug separate? How do I get it disconnected. Do I have to push down on something, or pry up on something?

Try using a flat head screwdriver between the connector.
I'm sure you are talking about this...

That's it exactly. The part on the left in in pic has a square tab in the center. Do I have to push that down while I pry the two parts of the plug apart with the screwdriver?

Yes....but don't forget to pull out the red tab first (as shown in the pic).
