Default A how to tint tail lights thread...

So I started with the back I am using sikkens clear with a rapid hardener with sikkens jet black paint mixed in the clear.....scuffed them with a grey scuff pad cleaned them with some wax and grease remover and began putting coats on...three Max after three it starts to get cloudy...as shown in the pictures below I mad a test panel to make sure I don't go to dark....

Also I am spraying these with a sata jet 2000 rp hvlp

I decided that after the second coat that it was plenty dark for me so I put the.booth on bake and here is what they came out like!

Looks good! I would like to get some of the black anzo taillights for mine for the whole black theme. Are you gonna tint front windows next?

I like the way they came out. They are dark enough to look good but not so dark that they would dim the light too much.

looks good but could go a little darker to make it look better. right now they look kinda like they are tinted grayish and not black. heres a pic of mine and yes you can see my lights at all hours of the day even with the sun on them. also cops have never had an issues with them. these are my second pair i have made. my last pair were even darker but they broke so i replaced them

I got a ticket for my tinted tail lights. It was $116.00 here in central FL.

Wow that's crazy I'm surprised you got a ticket for that in Florida I used to vacation there all the time and it seems like anything goes down there lol maybe the cop was having one of those days

What I do to tint my tail lights is I went to autozone and got a spray can of lens tint cost me 5$ and sprayed them dark black and then put in some leds and I never got messed with and they look great
