Lug nut wrench to get the tire off, socket set to get the lower control arms and shocks off and a jack to get it up in the air. If you really want to be sure you've got it all, take a coil spring compressor as well. With the control arms and shocks off, the axle should droop far enough to pull the coil out though.

get them to pick it up with their loader and load it on their stands. then they can cut everything to get the axle to drop and the coils should just fall out. might have to loosen the retainers on the bottom of the coils, (1/2 inch).
or get them to lift it up and throw some wheels or blocks under the front. then you'll have to unbolt the track bar, sway bar end links, and possibly the lower control arms. once those are undone, the coils will fall right out.

What motor did that 84 have? Ive got two 84z one with the AMC 2.5 Liter Hurricane 4 Banger with a Carter 1 barrel carb, the other has the GM sourced 2.8 Liter V6 with the Rochester 2 barrel, that I took apart over the weekend, twice, and is now performing much better, almost like stock, I did install a low pressure fuel pressure regulator, and two filters, one back by the tank, the other right after the regulator about a foot from the carb.
