My 88 and 89 havint needed a tow or anything (yet) knock on wood. They've been very reliable. I just keep the oil fresh and inspect them for coming problems every month or so depending how much miles or what I did to it. So far I've done in both in the past 5 years " Waterpump Radiator u-joints starter alternator valvecover tune-up brakes. Thats just the usual. Stay on top of them and you won't get stuck.
