I find myself needing the 4wd every time i drive it.

its a trail rig tho.. haha.

Honestly, after owning FWD cars for the last few years, and going to the XJ, everything i own is 4wd now. Its just worth having in every vehicle.

Here in Oklahoma I may need it once or twice during the winter...with ice and snow....sometimes just to be able to get out of my drive in the winter....since they don't clear anything but the snow routes. Nice thing to have......and I like the 242 for the full-time for the wifes peace of mind.

I live out in Poland , thats the one in Europe , next to Russia , and four wheel drive is pretty much in use full time from november through to march on the forest tracks near my home....Last year i did not have a 4 x 4 , and my Honda accord had a bit of a struggle just to get in and out of the farm driveway...Out here they don,t put salt or grit on the roads , just bulldoze the deep stuff off the highway , then whats left gets compressed into a two inch layer of ice...You soon learn how to drive on ice out here...or wind up wrapped around a tree....!

I agree totally. Thats why I bought the Comanche. Get that thing relable to get me to work everyday this summer and play with the XJ. (That ain't the only reason i bought a comanche aka coolest truck on the road)

I use mine quite often Dec-Feb, its very nice to be able to drive the speed limit down a snow covered road as FWD sedans gets stuck trying make turns. But as others have said, if you live in TN and don't hit the trails, whats the point? But its not a bad thing to be ready for a nuclear winter (seriously, you never know).
