HOW MUCH and What TYPE of OIL for A?C Comp. & Drier
I have a new Drier and spectra A/C compressor the paperwork tells me to drain and add new oil. refer to manual the manual tells me to refer to manufacture installation manual for my compressor can,t find it! Looked online with no luck it is a spectra sq 9000 compressor i need oil type and amount for comp. and drier this is a 1996 jeep cherokee sport 4.oL please help thinks

If it's using R-12 it's mineral oil.
R-134 uses PAG oil.
The 2 types are not compatible - they will gum up.
Safest way - use ESTER OIL - it's compatible with both oil types and both freons. yes parts houses have it - maybe 10% more expensive.
Drain out the old parts, then put the same amount back in..
