...Cut off my stock tail pipe and dump out my exhaust at the muffler, (Flowmaster) ?

And I'm wondering about cutting another hole in the stock air box to allow the K&N to get more air, will these two things done together make the exhaust noticeably louder?

 

Why do you want to go louder? Loud aint horsepower.

 

X2. And cutting a hole in your air-box will just allow hot engine compartment air into the engine instead of cooler outside air.

 

I need a little more rumble so I can hear it while driving. Right now it sounds like I'm driving an electric vehicle.

And I need it to cover up the squeaks and various other noises my Jeep makes.
