how much lift is too much

Default how much lift is too much

i currentyl have a 4.5" lift with a 1" transfer case drop and i want to add 1" to get 5.5 but my question is how much lift can i do with out doing any drive shaft crap or a slip yoke ele or any drive train mods please help im ganna order the other 1" tonight if i can get any feed back THANKS!!!!!

You are probably looking at a SYE at 5.5". You may also experience some steering issues as well due to the angle of the drag link. The higher yo go the more it will cost.

thanks man i think im ganna just stick with 4.5" for now do you think 4.5 is enough

currently im running 4.5" lift and 31" definity dakota mts but if i do 5.5 im ganna run 33's

You can run 33s on 4.5" with no problems if you trim fenders.
