how much lift do i have???
i bought this truck for a couple hundred bucks bc the guy didn't think that it ran. and i need some help figuring out how much lift is on it. to me it kind of looks like there is no lift and they just cut the hell out of the fenders. but it does have rancho rs5000 shocks on it. and the steering linkage and coil springs look like they use to be red, don't know if spray painted or aftermarket springs. there are no lift blocks in the rear and the shackles look factory to me. this is my first jeep so i don't know exactly how factory parts should look. how many leafs are in a factory spring pack so i can count them and make sure there is no added leafs. the guy i got it from said it use to have 33's on it, and you can tell they rubbed(a lot). if anyone needs me to take pics of specific things i will do so as quick as possible.

Well the easiest way to check is to measure from the very center of the rim to the bottom of the factory fender flare, 17" is the stock height so that will give you how much suspension lift you have.

It is hard to get an accurate measurement with trimmed fenders. But if you follow the lines of the rocker panel across the wheels, it looks like it is at stock height with just the fenders trimmed as Mastershake said.
example: my 91 stock when I got it
yours with the same line. there may be a slight boost in the front but not much

i would measure it but the fenders have been hacked up so far that i have no way of telling where the flare would have been.
i agree about the cage looking weird. i bought the truck this way. if i would have built it myself i would have done it differently. but the guy i got it from said it's done fine in all the roll overs it's had.
the truck is a 4 cyl with 5 speed. i don't know if that would make any difference.
if i measure how long the coils are while the truck is parked and measure another jeep that i know is stock, wouldn't that work also?

Yeah i'm at work right now so i wasnt able to see the picks you posted up but i was able to see the pic that winston posted and yeah the way i said before to check you cant do since there so trimmed up.
But looking at it i would say that its stock with maybe a 2" lift but he probally was able to fit 33" with it being trimmed up that much.
Here is a memeber on the forum who had his jeep running 33's wiht 0" lift so that probally what the guy before you had.

Looks as if you have a coil spring spacer in the front. Measuring that spacer will indicate lift. In the rear look for a spring shackle or an add a leaf spring on the bottom of the leaf spring assembly.

ok i got the chance to measure between the axle and frame and here's the results:
front: 9"
rear: 7"
but i'm thinking that bc there is no glass, doors, rear hatch, the interior has been gutted except for the seats and part of the dash, and there has been a LOT of metal cut out of the body, it's going to cause the suspension to not be as low as it should.
i'm guessing that there is no lift in the rear
and up front it might have a 1" lift spring, but probable not bc of above reasons and it only has a 4 banger instead of a I6

You can see there are some spacers added between the 4th and the 5th leaf at the ends.
The 4th leaf also seems thicker than the others like an add a leaf.
The coils have 9 spires and the stock coils have only 7.
The shackles are stock but the bolts aren't.
Both sway bars have been removed.
