Back in the "Pennzoil" days, we marveled over Toyota's that might make it to 200K. If you did your head at 60K you might make it to 140....... The gunk in the valve cover left room for the lifters to move.

HD means "high detergent", I think. Crap "in solution", leaves with every oil/filter change.

The diesel trains delivering that Pennzoil are "hy-breds". They have engines that run electric motors that drive the train. Yep. That technology has been here for well over 50 years. They just left us "out of the loop" to make $ selling us gas.

99 sport 4dr. 304,000. Just finished putting in a replacement motor and tranny with 140k on it. The original developed a knock.

I had a 96' with over 298k on her, and the powertrain and drivetrain were seriously rock solid for another 50k+ easy. I'm 99% sure she was all original motor/trans.

Unfortunately, the body was just shot. I got it free from a friend to help teach my wife to drive with, and it served us well for about a year. It was my friend's little sister's jeep though, and she had been in over 10 accidents with it. It was too far gone to get legal again.

The 89 I have now had 120k when I bought it, and now 140k. It's one of the lowest mileage renix's I've ever heard of honestly. She's beautiful.

About where I'm at Stabs. 280K and hummen sweet. Castrol Straight 30W. Really it runs supper, gotta do a wet/dry comp test one of these days.
Not using oil and gettn over 20 MPG HWY, 16 something on county maintained gravel and better....

Body has serious cracks outside of the hatch hinges, and even some forward top rear of the rear passenger doors. The hatch will hit the taillight if I park wrong. 13 years of washboard, climbing 1,500' in 3 miles every town trip has taken a tole. That 4.0, and AW-4 are dragging this poor body to ribbons!

What is that odometer on Green?
