Ive actually own 5 Cherokees now so heres the mileage and stats: Brown 84 with 2.8V6 3 speed auto NP229 Dana 30and35 with 3.73 and 249,007miles! Red 84 with the AMC2.5 AX5speed NP207 Dana30and35 with 3.55 and 196,448 miles! Black 87 with all original 1st year 4.0 AisinAW4 NP242 Dana 30and44! with 3.54 gears and 291,134 miles and still going strong! A white 96 with 4.0 AX15 NP231 dana 30 front Chrysler 8 1/4 rear with 249,548 and still going very strong. And last but proabably 1st in a drag, a Red 99 with 4.0 AW4 and Chrysler 8 1/4 with 139,500 exactly. Yes the 99z a 2 wheel drive, but very fast. The 4x4z really have alota parasitic drivetrain loss.

mines a 94 with 281775 miles. the motor was a junkyard motor and rebuilt about a year ago. The bodies still got that much mileage on it lol. Runs like a champ though.

2001 XJ 4.0 I-6 - JUST ROLLED 172,311. THIS JEEP JUST WON'T DIE! ..AND BELIEVE ME, I TRY. BOUGHT IT USED AT 16,000 MILES. I LIVE OUTSIDE OF PHOENIX, ARIZONA IN SOME OF THE HARSHEST ENVIRONMENT IN THE UNITED STATES.
