Hi everyone newcomer,

I have a 2000 jeep Cherokee Laredo that the key system locked up so I had to get it towed home but before that the tow truck driver had to go underneath to dislodge the link because the wheels would not turn.

How do I link it back so it would start, right now I was able to unlock the key with a help of a rubber mallet but it will not start.

Anybody can help.

just move the trans lever forward until it stops and press the cable back on.

Would I have to jack it up, and the cable would I have to release it and then put it back on when I push it forward.

I think you are asking how to re attach the drive shaft

if you cant do it the tow truck driver should have don it for you
