how hot?
how hot does the intake man. get?
i just got a head from the JY, come home and start cleaning the intake man. to find that there is a crack on the outside of 6th cyl port that goes from the top to the mid and moves when touched. i dont want to replace it as this is the 99 intake( the good one) and the JY doesnt have a 99 so i wanted to JB weld it as its the weekend and the machine shop is closed till tues. so i cant call to get a price on repair and i want to finish this thing up this weekend.
standard jb weld goes up ot 500 deg. and takes 24 hours to fully cure where there is the cold weld stuff that cures in 6 hours but only goes up to 300 deg. so thats why i need the temp.

Doesn't sound like a good one (you are not taking in to account the expansion/contraction of the materials). I would replace it with a new undamaged part unless you like doing things twice.
