All depends on how much and how far you drive on pavement. Plus how do you feal about sacrificing some ride?

They are fine on the road I drive them on mine. they suck on wet roads though you really got to slow down with them. Easy to hydro with them. Still waiting to try them on the snow. It can be scary in the rain though from exp.

suck a$$ in the rain...even at 45 mph when i hit it and it drops to 2nd gear they will spin and send me sideways...

and of course you will have your typical "hmmmmmmm" going down the road...

I had a set of 32X11.50 BF muds on my XJ and currently have a set of 33X12.50 Cooper STT's on my CJ and other than tire noise and a slightly stiff sidewall I haven't had any complaints about on road performance. No different than a new set of A/T's.

Softness of the AT's..

Now I have Baja Claws and I was surprised that even in 2" of standing water I don't seem to hydro plane..

Now when I build my next rig it will most likely get Perali Jones Dirt Grips for tires. They rate them as a AT but look and work like a MT. Best of both worlds..

These are what I plain to get next..

Mine M/T's are great on the street...especially in the winter...but then, all my vehicles before the WJ had Low Pro Z rated rubber, so....
